Welcome to Raspberry and Lime!

This is where I get to share what I do. Be a mom and military wife, do my best to stay sane as we move around the continent, and explore my creative side.

Silk Dream

This one is made for a newborn with a subtle pattern to bring out the beauty of the yarn.
Silk and Merino wool is beautifully soft to the touch and machine washable.
$15 - newborn, $20 - child,  $25 - adult
The wool is available in white, ivory, red and a number of rich colours if you are interested.

Beaver Helmet Cover

Beaver Helmet Cover

Completely removable for laundering. Any hat can be made to fit any helmet. I just need your ideas and the helmet dimensions.

These are intended to help moms and caregivers get those helmets on for skiing, sledding, skating, and any other activity that now demands safety helmets.

Bike helmet covers coming soon for those with an eye to spring (and West Coasters).

Floating Butterflies

Created for a butterfly loving 4-year-old.
The tethered butterfly comes just to the bottom of the hat when on for maximum fun with minimum interference when playing.
Can be done with all sorts of different floating objects.  Check back for more examples!

Austin

Austin from the Backyardigans inspired this hat.
Lighter weight for inside and outside play.
Good for dress-up and imagination play.

Pink Camo

Something for daughters of military parents, or lovers of neopolitan ice cream.
Soft cotton and open knit for warmer days but not quite warm enough to go without a hat.

Maltese Fisherman's Hat

This is a short backed version of the style but it keeps ears cozy and the back can be made as long as desired to keep necks warm.

Camo - for military kids

Simple camoflage beanie
Camoflage beanie with brim makes a cute cap.

Pirate Beanie

Eventually I will get a bunch of 'boy' hats set up so frustrated moms can find fun stuff for our little men.  This pirate hat was made of Alpaca - hence the fuzzy look.

Simple Blue Beanie

I can make it as tight and warm or loose and lacy as you would like.
This one was made of oh-so-lovely bamboo silk for a March baby boy.

A Little Bit Sweeter

A simple beanie, but a little bit sweeter for a little girl near Valentine's Day.

Iggle Piggle

For those of you with small people enraptured with "In the Night Garden".
A favourite with the girls in my life.  The cupcake hats are made with a brown ribbed 'cake' portion and topped with your favourite frosting and decorations.  This one is embroidery floss sprinkles to avoid any chance of a choking hazard.

Ladybug hat with six little legs. the legs are set far enough back that they won't bother little (or not so little) faces.

Little girls (and big ones) love Hello, Kitty. she can be customized with different colour bows(pink or blue are popular), or different colours entirely (pink all over).

My favourite model sporting his dragon hat. The snout - hard to photograph - can have nostrils and some fire breathing out if your little dragon would like some. Wings (ear flaps) can be extended into long talons to be tied under the chin.

Backyardigans

The goofy purple Kangaroo, Austin
Also inspired by the Backyardigans, Pablo the Penguin
Tasha, everyone's favourite hippo

Uniqua, also of Backyardigan's fame. Don't ask me what kind of creature she is, I still don't know...
